The Word ‘Bimblegumbie’

Bimblegumbie is an Aboriginal word and was found in an Aboriginal dictionary in the Cooma Library. It is known as 'Spear Whistle'. Some think that a Bimblegumbie is the name of a spear that whistles as it is thrown through the air, others think that Bimblegumbie is the name of the sound/whistle the spear makes as it is flying through the air.... if you happen to know what it really is drop us a line.

Bimblegumbie Location

Bimblegumbie is located on 9km's from the Jindabyne turn off to the Ski Tube and Thredbo on the Alpine Way.
